1. Draw Happy: quit saying "I can't draw"!

Draw Happy Invitation from Jane Davenport on Vimeo.

If you've ever said "I can't draw!", it's time to join the Draw Happy revolution...

‘Draw Happy’ is not about drawing happy things.
It is about you feeling joy as you draw!

This is the PERFECT space for you :

If you are curious about 'Art Journaling'.

If you want to re-connect with your creativity.

If you want to quit saying "I wish I could draw" forever!

In Draw Happy I break things down into manageable, memorable steps and show you my creative process.
I 'have' to be creative everyday and I have a few little tricks that I am so delighted to share with you!
I'll show you how to access your innate drawing style (yes, you do have one!), start an Art Journal to hold all your creativity
and share my favourite drawing tools and surfaces with you.

All you need is a journal or sketchbook, a pencil and internet access and a healthy artitude:
Art, just like life, doesn't have to be 'serious' to be meaningful!

If you want to treat yourself, you can see our Journal Starter Kit here: click

Drawing is so GOOD for you!
It lights up the whole brain because it engages imagination and problem solving skills.
It awakes memories and laser focuses hand-brain co-ordination. It's the foundation of all the visual arts.
If you have confidence in drawing, you can express ideas that defy language... A picture says a thousand words after all.

"Jane, What fun!! I LOVED the video's, such inspiration I doodled the entire time while watching!

Lots (LOTS) of my students used to be " I can't draw",
"I don't have a creative bone in my body"
or "I can hardly draw a stick figure" people.
They decided to stop saying that and instead have decided to Draw Happy.
You are invited to join them!

Jane - I just had to share (albeit a bit early) - I just watched all of your videos and am in AWE!
There is so much here, so much information, and so much YOU. I LOVE love love love it.

"I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your videos and all the wonderful feedback you and the other Happy Drawing students gave me. I have been at a creative impasse lately, and I feel like your videos will help me break that.
Even when you are lucky enough to make a living at a something most people only dream about,
it's possible to get in a rut and lose the joy. You and your students are helping me find that joy again. Can't thank you enough."

"You class has been very freeing and has helped me give myself permission to 'play' and
not be so serious while learning. Thanks so much Jane xx"

"Our Dear Jane, you're so translucent, your enthusiasm is contagious,
every word that you speak of write shows us exactly how you are"

"Jane - How can I thank you? (let me count the ways). This has been such a wonderful class.
I have had an absolute ball. I have learned so much.. from you and my fellow students.
I totally hoard art supplies but sometimes they lay barely used. You have really got me reaching into that art bag of mine and
bringing out pens, pencils and paints like they were new. Can you hear them all squealing with delight
that they have my attention at last and have been freed to strut their stuff??
THANK YOU for stretching me and enabling me to justify my stash!!
This classroom is such a hub of activity - and will continue to call back and visit often to
feast my eyes on all the talent you have unleashed in your workshop."

"Jane! I loved the videos!! You kept it FUN and that's what drawing and art should be!!!
Your keeping the videos fun relaxed me and made me feel like I can draw -- and Draw Happy!
Thank you for sharing so much of yourself and your work and your secrets!
As a beginner (as in this is my very first drawing class!), this really gave me the inspiration and "confidence"
I needed to know that with practice I too will be able to draw!"

Thankyou to my students past, present and future for sharing their kind words!
